If the bottle is half empty usually the bubbles are all gone out and the cola tastes very bad without the bubbles.

Make a special cap to close the bottle and pump some air inside (by hand, no batteries). the pressure inside the bottle will keep the bubbles in the cola?
(just like when the bottle is still full).

Just google: "soda club maker"and you'll find a gadget that renew's your half empty and dull Cola or other bubbled drinks.

Its'a a simple amigo. Just adding air-pressure to the bottle won't cut it. I still use at home the NSA (National Safety Associates) water sparkler.

Thanks but i do not mean a 70$ machine to ADD additional bubbles to the drink.
I look for a low-cost low-tech simple solution to preserve the bubbles that are already inside the drink. Simply to avoid them escaping into the air of a halfempty bottle.
Also while searching on Google i found out there are several pumping-caps on the market but they do not SEAL tight enough between cap & bottle. The CO2 gas thus escapes through the tiny opening . It seems in the drinksfactory the bottlecaps are really sealed tight and this is hard to imitate with an aftermarket cap.

I found ''Fizz-keeper'', a 5$ white plastic pump-cap. Does anyone know if this works good enough?

You may want to try:

or Google champagnedop or champagne bottle-cap or whatever your language would call this...;-)
What's good enough for champaign should be good enough for cola, agree?

The same problem occurs with wine, it goes bad when it is exposed to air for too long.
The solution was bag-in-box.
With this packaging no air can get to the liquid so it stays good.

So maybe cola could be put in a bag-in-bottle?
